This Privacy Notice defines general rules for all our HeyTap products. Given the great variety of our products and services, we also specifically develop privacy notices for some of our HeyTap products/services to explain in more detail how we collect and use your personal information during your use of those products or services. If a HeyTap product has its own privacy notice published, then the product-specific privacy notice shall prevail. 1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
We collect personal information in order to operate more efficiently and provide you with an optimal user experience. The personal information we collect includes:
- (A) Information directly provided by you to us;
- (B) Information about you obtained during your use of the HeyTap Product; and/or
- (C) Personal information about you obtained from third parties.
The information we collect depends on the products you actually use, the environment in which you interact with us, and the choices you make, including your privacy settings and the products and features you use. Our products and functions include core service functions and value-added service functions. When we collect information, you do not necessarily have to provide your personal information. For core service functions, if you choose not to provide the information, we may be unable to provide you with related services or respond to or deal with the problems you may encounter. For value-added service functions, you can choose whether or not to agree to our collection of your personal information. If you do not agree, you may not be able to use relevant value-added service functions. This, however, does not affect your use of our core service functions.
1.1 How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
- (A) We may need to collect your phone number or email address, password, and sign-up SMS message so that we can sign you up for a HeyTap Account and assist you in signing in to your account and using related services. If you do not provide such information, we will be unable to create an account for you or assist you in signing in to your account. After you have signed up for a HeyTap Account, you may choose whether to provide us with information such as your username, profile picture, and gender to complete your account details. We may need to contact you using the aforementioned information for survey or promotional purposes. Please note that you are allowed to sign up for a HeyTap Account with your own phone number. When you sign up with your own phone number, your device will automatically send an SMS message to us to verify your phone number, which may incur carrier costs.
- (B) We need to obtain the list of apps already installed on your device to ensure that your HeyTap Account can successfully sign in to all the apps and services that support sign-in with HeyTap Accounts and to determine whether your HeyTap Account has signed in to these apps. You may sign in to your HeyTap Account to use the products or services provided by our platform. After you sign in to your HeyTap Account from your device to use the products and services provided by our platform such as HeyTap Cloud, App Market, Theme Store, Game Center, Browser, Quick Games, Global Search, Notifications, Soloop Cut, and Music, the auto sign-in feature will be turned on so that your user experience will not be interrupted, and these services will obtain your HeyTap Account information.
- (C) You may sign in to the products and services provided by our affiliates or third parties that are accessible from your HeyTap Account, such as videos, wallets, communities, and readers.
- (D) When you sign in to the HeyTap Product using your HeyTap Account, we need to collect your IP address, IMEI, OpenID, and Wi-Fi information. We collect this data to protect the security of your account.
- (E) When you add a delivery address on the profile information or Rewards page, you may need to provide us with information about your contacts. We collect this information to help you quickly enter the receiver's name and phone number.
- (F) We will collect and sync information on reward points and membership status of your HeyTap Account within the HeyTap Product and the products and services provided by our affiliates or third parties that are accessible via your HeyTap Account, and display it on the account information page to provide you with reward points and other member benefits.
- (G) If applicable laws and regulations in your country require real-name authentication, we will also collect your identity information such as your name and ID card number. If you refuse to provide such information, we may not be able to provide you with the products or services you request.
- (H) During your use of the "Local life" section, we may collect your location information to offer coupons in your city.
- (I) We may access your clipboard to copy the coupon code or product description in Rewards to the clipboard so that you can quickly enter the relevant information when needed.
- (J) We provide you with photo printing and derivative customization services. After you complete the payment to generate your order, we will store your order information, such as the store name, item specifications, payment amount, shipping fees, and the order completion time, and sync it with your account. For the purpose of fulfilling the contract, we will also collect the shipping address and the receiver's name and phone number that you submit.
- The photo printing and derivative customization services will be provided by our partners. In order for them to produce and deliver the products that you order, we will share the above order and shipping information with them.
- (K) We may use information about your device, such as the device name, device/phone model, IMEI number/OpenID, MAC address, serial number, IP address, and operating system version, and the phone number and email address linked to your account to provide you with push or notification services relating to HeyTap products or third-party content, including app updates and installations, sales and promotional messages, etc. You may opt out of receiving our sales and promotional messages by SMS or email, or by turning off the notification feature through "Settings - Notifications". Please note that the operation path may vary depending on the phone model or version.
- (L) If you order a product or request a refund from us or use a paid service, we may collect your device identifiers (such as the IMEI number/OpenID), delivery details, bank account number, document type, document number, phone number, your name, financial information (such as payment history and billing address), contact and communication records, etc. We will use such data to process your purchase orders and provide after-sales services, including customer support, order delivery, and invoice printing. If you do not provide this information, you may not be able to order a product, request a refund from us, or use a paid service.
- (M) If you wish to participate in lucky draws or competitions, participate in promotional or marketing activities organized by us or our business partners, complete relevant surveys, or participate in user forums or blogs organized by us or our business partners, you may need to provide us with your name, phone number, email address, postal address, bank account number, and Alipay account number in order for us to contact you and send you rewards.
- (N) When providing after-sales services and customer support to you, we may collect your location information to show you after-sales service centers nearby. We may request and collect your personal information, such as your device information (e.g., the IMEI number), your name, phone number, email address, postal address, and device logs, and we may record the calls between you and our customer service representatives. We use the data to diagnose product issues, repair customers' devices, and provide other customer care and support services. We may also collect your email address to respond to the questions raised or comments made by you in the "Contact Us" or "Data Subject Rights Platform" section of our website.
- (O) In order to help us understand how you use our services, how you participate in promotional or marketing activities, user forums or blogs organized by us, or how you use after-sales services and customer support, we may use the phone number, email address, and other contact information you have provided to us in the aforementioned scenarios to conduct user research and follow-up surveys.
- (P) In order to fulfill cybersecurity protection obligations, ensure the normal functioning of the HeyTap Product and the security of your account, and improve and optimize your user experience, we will collect the following information during your use of the HeyTap Product: information about your device such as the device name, device model, IMEI number, OpenID, MAC address, serial number, IP address, and operating system version, information about how you and your device interact with the HeyTap Product, information about operations performed by you after signing in to your HeyTap Account (such as information about changing your password or the linked phone number or email address and the manual account recovery history), the time and duration of your use of the HeyTap Product, the search keywords entered by you, and logs and information about events (such as restarts, upgrades, errors, and crashes). We collect such information to verify your identity, analyze the efficiency of our business operations, review transactions, and prevent fraud.
- (Q) We will use your personal information solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. Your personal information will only be used for the purposes identified, described, and authorized by you at the time of collection. We will obtain your prior consent if we intend to use your personal information for any purposes other than those specified in this Privacy Notice. We will obtain your prior consent if we intend to use your personal information collected to fulfill a specific purpose for any other purpose. Without your consent, we will not provide your personal information or behavioral data to any third parties.
1.2 Requesting Device Permissions
- (A) We may request certain device permissions to collect your personal information and provide you with the relevant service functions or services. Specifically, we may request the following device permissions.
- (B) When a permission is turned on, you can go to "Settings" on your mobile phone to turn off the permission at any time. After the permission is turned off, the corresponding product function may not work normally. 2.1 What Are Cookies
A cookie is a small file that our websites, applications, or services transmit and store on your device. Our websites, online services, interactive applications, email addresses, and advertisements may use cookies and other similar technologies, such as pixel tags and web beacons. 3. How We Retain Your Personal Information
The personal information collected by us will be retained for the minimum period needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected as described in this Privacy Notice, unless otherwise specified by applicable laws or regulations. 4.1 How We Share and Transfer Your Personal Information
From time to time, we may share certain personal information with our affiliates and the strategic partners who work with us to provide products and services or otherwise share or transfer your personal information to provide the products or services requested by you.
- (A) Affiliates: In order for us to provide services to you based on your HeyTap Account, we may share your personal information with our affiliates. For example, when you use the HeyTap Product with your HeyTap Account, we may share your personal information with our affiliates in order to assist you in accruing HeyTap Account reward points or obtaining user benefits such as redeeming your reward points or memberships when you use other products or features accessible from your HeyTap Account. We will only share necessary personal information. If we or our affiliates intend to change the purpose for which your personal information is used and processed, we will obtain your authorization or consent again.
- (B) Sharing with our authorized partners: Some of our services will be provided by our authorized partners only for the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice. We may share some of your personal information with our partners in order to provide services to you and improve your user experience. Specifically:
- (1) We need to share your device information and behavioral data with our advertising and analytics service partners (including but not limited to advertising service providers, third-party ad monitoring service providers, and news feed service providers) in order to implement advertising and monitor the effectiveness of such advertising. The independent and direct collection and use of personal information by the above SDKs is governed by their own privacy terms. The processing (including but not limited to transfer, storage, and usage) of personal information collected by the above SDKs in connection to the SDK providers' capacity as our data processors is also governed by the privacy terms of the SDK providers. We will carefully review the purpose for which the SDK providers use your personal information, assess their security capabilities, and bind them to a legal cooperation agreement. We will implement strict security monitoring to protect data security. In order to ensure the security of your information, you are strongly recommended to read the privacy terms for any third-party SDKs before using the services provided by such SDKs. - (D) When transmitting and storing your personal information of special types, we will use security measures such as encryption. Before storing your personal biometric information, we will take technical measures to process it, such as only storing a summary of your personal biometric information.

For any personal information that you cannot delete by yourself or personal information that you believe to have been collected or used not in compliance with the agreement between you and us, you can contact us in the manner disclosed in this Privacy Notice to have such personal information deleted.
6.5 Right to Delete Your Account
- (A) You can go to id.heytap.com to delete your HeyTap Account. After you submit a request for deleting your account, we may need to manually review your request to make sure that you satisfy the conditions for account deletion, and we will assist you with the deletion of your account within 15 workdays after you submit your request. After your request is approved by us, we will delete or anonymize all your relevant personal information, unless otherwise specified by laws and regulations. After your HeyTap Account is deleted, we will no longer be able to provide you with products or services that are only accessible by a HeyTap Account.
We grant you the right to delete your HeyTap Account.
You can also directly contact us in the manner disclosed in this Privacy Notice to request that we delete your HeyTap Account. We will record your request, manually review your request to make sure that you satisfy the conditions for account deletion, and assist you with the deletion of your account within 15 workdays after you submit your request.
6.6 Right to Withdraw Consent
- (A) On your mobile phone, you can withdraw your consent to our use of your device permissions and collection of your personal information by tapping "Settings - App management - Permission manager" and turning off the permissions.
- (B) The advertising messages/marketing notifications sent by us will tell you how to unsubscribe from such messages/notifications, and you can withdraw your consent as described in the messages/notifications.
The performance of each service function requires certain basic personal information (see the "How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information" section of this Privacy Notice). You can change the scope of the personal information you authorize us to continue to collect or withdraw your authorization by deleting information, turning off the permissions, changing settings on the product or feature settings page, or deleting your account. If you withdraw your consent, we will no longer be able to provide you with the related service. We will also no longer process related personal information, but the withdrawal of your consent will not affect the processing of the personal information that has been collected previously.

However, we will charge the cost of handling unreasonably repeated requests. We may reject unreasonably repeated requests, or requests that require excessive technical means (such as developing a new system or fundamentally changing existing practices), or requests that present a risk to the legitimate rights and interests of others, or very unrealistic requests. If we do so, we will state the reason in our reply. In addition, if your request directly involves any issues directly related to public interests such as national security, national defense, public health, and criminal investigations, or if your request may result in serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of you or any other individual or organization, we may not respond to it.
7. How We Process Children's Personal Information

If you are a child (a minor under the age of 14), you and your parent or guardian together must carefully read this Privacy Notice and the HeyTap Privacy Notice for Children before you use our services. In addition, you must obtain their consent before using our products or services or providing information to us.
For child protection purposes, child users may only use child accounts. Parents or guardians shall create a child account for their child to use our products or services. After children sign in to their child accounts, we will provide them with age appropriate services. In addition, children are allowed to make an in-app purchase only after obtaining consent from their parents or guardians.

9. How Your Personal Information Is Transferred Globally
As a company operating globally, we provide products and services through our resources and servers distributed around the world.
